Energy Components User Community Website Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Quorum Software Norway A.S. (“Quorum Software,” “we”, “us” or “our”) processes personal data about you in connection with your use of the Energy Components User Community website (“EC Community”). - Profile Data includes your username and password, feedback and survey responses.
- Usage Data includes information about how you use our website, products and services.
- Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving content summaries from us and your communication preferences.
- Sales and Customer Relationship Data includes role in the company, access rights, offering details, activity.
Aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data may also be collected, used and shared for any purpose. Aggregated data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data by law, as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, your usage data may be aggregated to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific feature.

Where we rely on our legitimate business interests, we have undertaken an assessment where we have balanced your rights against ours to ensure that our interest is not overridden by the interests you have in protecting your information.
5. How and why we share personal data

6. Location of data processing
Your personal data is primarily processed on servers within the EU/EEA and the UK.
However, some of the recipients, such as some of our group entities, may be located outside of the EU/EEA and the UK, and these jurisdictions may not have privacy laws that are as protective as the laws in your jurisdiction, such as the United States. Quorum Software has implemented safeguards, in accordance with legal requirements, designed to protect your personal data irrespective of the data protection standards in the jurisdiction where your personal data may be transferred. For example, we enter into agreements with third parties, such as service providers, to require them to adopt standards greater than the local data protection requirements.
7. Data retention
We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, contractual or legitimate requirements or interests.

9. Links to other websites
The EC Community may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins, products, services, and applications that are not owned or controlled by the EC Community. You should carefully review the privacy policies of hose other websites, products, or services, as we cannot control and are not responsible for privacy policies, notices, or practices of third-party offerings.
10. Safeguarding information
We have put in place physical, technical, and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal data from loss, misuse, alteration, theft, or unauthorized access or disclosure, consistent with legal obligations and industry practices. We evaluate these safeguards to help minimize risks to personal data. However, as is the case with any website, application, product, or service, we cannot guarantee the security for data collected through the EC Community.
